Abstract: According to the International Aluminum Institute and the World Bureau of Metal Statistics,Chinese aluminum industry has developed rapidly in recent years,and its aluminum consumption and yield have ranked first in the world.Based on the analysis of the reserve,yield,consumption,import,market prices and the industry structure of the aluminum resources,the authors suggest that there are many problems in Chinese aluminum industry at present.For instance,there is a serious shortage of aluminum resources and high external dependence;low ratio of aluminum ore's comprehensive utilization;the smelting technology and equipment is not that advanced;aluminum industrial structure is irrational;the serve environmental pollution is another present situation.In order to respond to the dilemma,the authors make some suggestions as follows:(1)make full use of domestic and foreign aluminum resources;(2)improve the smelting technology and equipment;(3)optimize the industrial structure;(4)popularize cleaner production methods actively,so that we can guarantee the healthy and sustainable development of Chinese aluminum industry.
