Abstract: Canada is rich in mineral resources.Governments pay more attention to mining environment protection.In Canada,environment restoration work should be run through any stage of mine production.When compiling mining plan,feasibility studies,environmental impact statements and mine recovery plan should be offered at the same time.Besides,Canada implements environmental performance reporting system.A study in 1996-2008 showed that,environmental protection expenditure may accounted for 2% of mineral production value.Canada's experience tells us,the concept of environment protection should be run through any stage of mine production.Also,China should establish mine environmental protection statistical system and environmental costs accounting systems as soon as possible;explore new measures under market conditions to promote mine environmental remediation.
