Abstract: Based on the study of the bolt and mesh support mechanism, and the existing support design theory, the flow structure and the functions of automadesign system of a bolt and mesh support for tunnel are established, and the function structure and a package of computer software, founded on VC++6.0、ARX2002、AutoCAD2002、HtmlHelp Workshop and InstallShield X Express etc. are developed. The system is divided into three modules including consultation module, explaining module and helping module. At last, the system operating process is carried out through a practical case, and the outcome is checked and proven to be proper and scientific.
