Abstract: Tuotuo river lead-zinc ore concentrated area,located in the north slope of Mount Tanggula,southwest of Qinghai Province,is one of the first national exploration areas (47 areas) fully equipped.The ore concentrated area is not only the core area of Qinghai lead-zinc polymetallic base,but also the ore concentrated area which has the most potential for ore prospecting at the north section of Sanjiang metallogenic belt.Among which it has found four lead-zinc metallogenic belts and more than forty lead-zinc ore deposits (spots).Various geological units in the ore concentrated area display different enriched element combination.Each metallogenic belt takes Pb and Zn as the main metallogenic elements,but their associated elements are different significantly.The Triassic and Permian strata are quite important metallogenic strata in the ore concentrated area.The ore-forming fluid has several characteristics,including low temperature,intermediate-low salinity,intermediate-low density,low pressure,hypabyssal feature and enrichment characteristics covering multi-phase,multi-stage and multi-source.The size of deposit scale in Tuotuo river region is closely associated with abnormal scale strength.Almost all lead-zinc deposits and ore (mineralization) spots are situated in the range of lead-zinc geochemical provinces.On the basis of summarizing ore-forming geological conditions,this paper indicates that the ore concentrated is expected to be one large lead-zinc mineral resource base.Moreover,it divides five crucial prospecting areas,where Nabaozhalong-Duocaima-Bumalangnai copper-lead-zinc prospecting area has the most potential for searching for large-ultra large deposits.
