Abstract: Based on the comprehensively review on the research progress and the development tendency on stability evaluation for international coal mine city goaf land,the basic concept of the developing-utilization potential of coal mine city goaf land is defined referring to the features of coal mine city goaf land.The necessity of potential evaluation for coal mine city goaf land is analyzed,and the related fundamental research contents and key technologies are discussed.It is pointed out that the fundamental researches include the index system,evaluation standard,the evaluation model,the evaluation software-platform and the evaluation demosnstration.The fundamental research in not only helpful to the reasonable and scientific developing-utilizing and planing of coal mine city goaf land,but also conducive to offering science foundation for selection site of ground building and harness subsiding area and land reclamation.The potential evaluation for coal mine city goaf land is very important for the sustainable development of modern coal mine city.
