Abstract:
Aiming at the turbulence and steering mutation problem of heavy medium cyclone guide cylinder section,we design a new feeding form of heavy medium cyclone,its main characteristic is the material inlet tilt to the bottom end.On the basis of PIV experimental research,using RSM model in FLUENT to simulate the flow field of heavy medium cyclone with new feeding form.Experiment and simulation results show that,in the same feeding pressure,compared with the traditional cyclone,the new cyclone has higher tangential velocity and lower center negative pressure,this shows that the new feeding form can effectively reduced the energy consumption in the cyclone,beneficial to increase the centrifugal coefficient,improve the separation efficiency.
