Abstract: Geological data is an important record of geological work. It has the characteristics of high potential value and wide application range. Facing the increasingly servicing demands of oil and gas exploration data, this article carried out the studies on the present situations and existing problems of oil and gas exploration data service in China, referring to the foreign experiences in information services, the authors put forward four aspects to strengthening the service and utilization of oil and gas exploration reports: to establish "big services" consciousness and "big data" system, to improve and perfect the regulations of geological information services, to enhance the resource aggregation of oil and gas exploration data, and to promote the industrial development of oil and gas information services.
