Abstract:
In this paper, the effect of flotation conditions which include grinding fineness, pulp density,pH value and frother dosage on the aerosol flotation of a low-grade molybdenum ore were studied. In the aerosol flotation process, kerosene, the primary collector of molybdenum, was added into the ore pulp in the form of aerosol. The results revealed that the effect law of grinding fineness,pH value, the pulp density and frother dosage on traditional flotation process and aerosols flotation process were similar, but the adaptability of the two flotation methods for the change flotation conditions was different.Compared with the traditional flotation technology, the adaptability of the aerosol flotation technology for the change of grinding fineness and pulp density was better, but was worse for the change of pH value. The effect of rother dosage on aerosol flotation process was greater, and good bubble environment was favorable for aerosol flotation process.
