Abstract: Based on the deformation and broken characters of the loess basement in dumping site at Antaipu Coal Mine in Pingshuo,this paper discusses the development process of the landslide and factors that caused slope sliding in the dumping site.Mechanism of basal-type landslide has been researched and some conclusions were given.All these are important and valuable for control of landslide in dumping site.
