Abstract:
Hydrogeological conditions play an important role in high concentration of coal-bed methane. Based on the systematic study of hydro-geological characteristics in Jiaozuo Mining Area, the influence made by hydrogeological conditions on the occurrence, seepage, migration, recoverability and production of coal bed methane was analyzed. Hydrogeological conditions in Jiaozuo are over ally beneficial to the occurrence of coal bed methane, but in the strong runoff zone with local groundwater, coal bed methane migrate taking water flow as a carrier. Karsts-cranny developing area, coal region of measures exposed or buried in shallow and also closed to the surface water, which can flow into the seam through fissures will adversely affected coal bed methane mining. More developing fractures may become the water-channels, so when we select wells for coal-bed methane exploration and development, at the same conditions of other cases, the coal bed methane wells should be selected in deeper and more distant from the site of the fault. Coal bed methane production should be reasonable to deal with potential environmental geological problems.
