Abstract: Analysed the current methods for calulating the thickener area, this paper introduces threemethods for calculating thickener area based on the clarification test rusults-the Coe-Clevingers,Talmadge-Fitch's and Oltman's methods; gives some examples of calculation. Every methodof them is preliminarily evaluated.
