Abstract: The thriving development of small-scale mining has established integrated mining system. It has positive contributions to promoting provincial economy development, creating working places, helping peasants from poor to be wealthy and resolving the contradiction between supply and demand. Small-scale mining, however, has brought about many serious problems, such as waste of resources, pollutions, and safeties. Meanwhile, small-scale mining is up against lots of bottlenecks in the course of development. This article deeply analyses contributions and destructions to society that small-scale mining does, and puts forward some advices on relevant problems to small-scale mining. The article holds the view that it has significance to strengthen the management of small-scale mining rationally and lead it to a sustainabe development way.
