Abstract: The feasibility and efficiency of the application of semi-continuous mining system with Mobile crushers to Ping Shuo east surface coal mine is analyzed. Along with the growing mining depth in surface coal mine, the disadvantages of the shovel-truck mining system has shown high cost and easy to be affected by the fuel price fluctuation, combined with characteristics of Ping Shuo east surface coal mine, the semi-continuous mining system with mobile crushers can solve the problems effectively. In light of the exploration scale and resource enrichment conditions, it is proposed that the PH4100XP shovel should be adopted as the Semi-continuous mining system to match the mobile crusher which production capacity is 8000t/h in Ping Shuo east surface coal mine. And the economic assessment shows that 20 million yuan/a of the operating expenses can be saved if the semi-continuous mining system with mobile crushers is used for the rock benches above 4 ^# coal seams in Pingshuo east surface coal mine.
