Abstract: Based on the method of reliability analysis,the laboratory test data of shear strength for engineerin rock mass from dam area of Xiluodu hydroelectrically power are analyzed,and the shear strength of 5 different rock masses is calculated and determined.As a comparing,the results from reliability method are compared with traditional analysis methods.The researcher result signify that the reliability method i rational and effective.
