Abstract: Compound tunnel weak spot failure mechanism and supports were studied through mechanics and numerical simulation method.The results indicate that only bolting is not effective,and reasonable use of the bolt,cable joint support will have a very good way supporting effect in the thickness of soft rock.According to Cuijiazhai mine's geological conditions,a roadway support was designed.Through surveying on-site,the tunnel support achieved the expected result.
