Abstract: 1:50000 geological map spatial database is constructed based on Coverage data model.1:250000 geological map spatial database is constructed based on Geodatabase data model.Through the comparative analysis of two Shandong's examples of constructing geological map spatial database,we can draws the conclusion:1:250000 geological map spatial database based on Geodatabase data model,not only combine the spatial data with attribute data together effectively,but also reflect the topological relation between the spatial entities directly,reduce the data redundances effectively,reduce the workload of constructing database effectively.So,1:250000 geological map spatial database based on Geodatabase data model,have a better development prospects.
