Abstract: This paper introduces the two-stage mining in depth of over a thousand meters in HongtoushanCopper Mihe to reduce the pillar loss, control the ground pressure activity, ensure the production safety, andachieve the good techno-economic indexes; dissusses the related theories and applicatiop such as: the mechanismof supporting the pillars with filled mass; the independence of lumpy rock-cement filled mass; effects of blastingon filled body; application of shrinkage stoping in deep mining; middle-deep hole pattern parameters and so on.
