Abstract: With the development of science and technoloty, information technologies, new raw material and new energy reources technologies that were apllied to the military and natioanl defense are coming into civil fields. That will put forward to new request of mineral industy and raw materials supply, meanwhile accelerate the growth of new and developing mineral resources. The author makes the definition of "new technology mineral resources" firstly, analyzes the six characteristics of new technology minreal resources, brings forward to new technology resource and the industry pattern of new technology resources, at last discusses the opportunities and challenges of mineral industry investment about new technology mineral resources.
