Abstract: The coal mine production belongs to high dangerous and risky industry. It is different from other industry. Only with slight carelessness, the huge accidents will occur. Firstly, through the statistics of 11year’s coal production of our country, it indicates that the coal production assumed obvious growth trend in recent years. Secondly, aiming at the recent coal minee safety, it analyzes the occurrence frequencies of accidents, the death toll and the fatality rate per million tons coal in statistically. The study indicates that the coal mine safety condition of our country has a distinct improvement and the death toll caused by accidents reduces unceasingly. Thirdly, based on accident causing theory, it analyses the reasons of coal minee accidents occurred in China. Lastly, it proposes corresponding prevention measures. The results might give important guidance to improving safety management level and safety production of coal mine.
