Abstract: Strengthening China’s mineral resource reserve is proposed in this article by analyzing mineral resource reserve situation in China and abroad.The research suggests that as global mineral security situation becomes more complex,mineral resource reserve draws western countries’ attention again after the Cold War.In 10 years,China’s mineral supply and demand pattern will change,but the overall security situation instil little optimism.Finally the reserve system of mineral-based reserve with supplement of capacity and producing area are put forward.Improving reserve mechanism,expanding variety and scale of reserve commodity,attaching more importance to strengthen mineral reserve which are used in national defense and high-tech industry.
