Abstract: The inherent characteristics of time duration and space expansion of coal exploitation make ecological cumulative effects significant. Because of lack of integrity and inadequate analysis of macro-analysis, the traditional environment impact assessment method which is based on a single project can't satisfy the need of ecological protection. This paper defines the connotation of ecological cumulative effect, summarizes the main research contents and constructs the ecological cumulative effects multi-scale analysis framework in coal mining area. Finally the directions for further study are put forward.
