Abstract:
The experiment studies both the uniaxial compressive strength and triaxial compressive strength of sandstone,respectively under air-drying,natural and saturation conditions.The relationship between stress and axial strain,transverse strain & volume strain is obtained form the uniaxial and triaxial tests.The result shows that unixial stress-strain curve can be devided into three staged before its peak value,while triaxial stress-strain curve can be devided into five stages.An O.Mohr circle is graphed according to values of the triaxial strain and confining stress.Moreover,failure theory and strength parameters:c and are obtained through analyzing the curve fitting.Finally,research analyzes the rock strength influenced by moisture content.The whole research results can offer a reference to related engineering projects.
