Abstract:
In this paper, the method of climber was used during inclined shaft excavation of a metal mine in the Middle East. The technical parameters including hole layout, loading technique, connecting leg wire and blasting cable detonation methods were optimized according to the different features of roadway section design, explosives performance, drilling equipment, etc. It was proved by production practice that the climber methods using optimized technical parameters have advantages of safety, high tunneling speed, regular roadway cross-section, low cost, etc. The research could not only provide technical reference for domestic mining companies which enter mining market of Middle-East, but also be beneficial to similar mine worldwide.
