Abstract:
For the purpose of studying the accumulation model of natural gas hydrates in the Muli permafrost region with mid and low latitudes in China, this article based on natural gas hydrate accumulation system presents analysis on hydrate forming conditions in terms of the hydrocarbon generation system, fluid migration system, and accumulation enrichment system. The characteristics of the natural gas hydrate that has been found and explored are also involved when studying the accumulation model of this area. The results indicate that with favorable temperatures and pressure conditions for forming natural gas hydrate, this area, rich in heavy hydrocarbon, is likely to form gas hydrate reservoirs. Natural gas hydrate in Muli area is recognized as a dynamic accumulation model, which is formed by the thermal gas near the bottom and migrated under the effect of faults or some tectonics, and this model is thermal gas-low temperature-strata oriented. According to that model, some methods on how to select favorable drilling blocks in Muli area are presented in this article as well.
