广西合浦某高岭土选矿工艺试验研究

    Experimental study on mineral processing technology of a kaolin in Hepu county,Guangxi

    • 摘要: 广西合浦某高岭土属于沉积型高岭土,原矿中含钛矿物以无磁性的锐钛矿为主,除铁、除钛难度大。试验围绕-2μm矿样降铁、钛及提高白度,进行了高梯度磁选、离心选矿机分选、浮选、选择性絮凝等多种方案探索。最终采用除砂-分级-离心选矿机除铁、钛-分级-化学漂白的工艺流程,涂料级产品取得了较好指标:-2μm含量大于90%、Al2O3 35.11%、SiO2 46.35%、TFe 0.78%、TiO2 0.89%、SO3小于0.5%、高岭石大于85%、伊利石小于15%、石英极微、白度80.4,同时获得了较高品质的石英砂和陶瓷原料,带来可观经济效益。

       

      Abstract: Because certain Kaolin ore in Hepu of Guangxi is the sedimentary kaolin,and the Ti-bearing minerals in the raw ore are mainly nonmagnetic anatases,it is difficult to remove the iron and titanium.In order to reduce iron and titanium,and also improve whiteness of-2μsample ore,several exploring solutions such as high-gradient magnetic separation,sorting by centrifugal separator,flotation and selective flocculation have been carried out in this experiment.Finally,the process flows as desanding-gradingremoving iron and titanium by centrifugal separator-grading-chemical bleaching have been adopted.As a result,the coating grade products reach a better index:-2μcontent over 90%,Al2O3 35.11%,SiO2 46.35%,TFe 0.78 %,TiO2 0.89%,SO3 <0.5%,kaolinite >85%,illite <15%,very little quartz, whiteness 80.4.At the same time,it gets the higher quality silica sand and ceramic raw materials,which bring considerable economic benefits.
