Abstract:
According to the characteristics of oxidized zinc ore with high slime content from Nandeng Xiushui, Burma, two kinds of technologies including desliming+grinding floatation and grinding+desliming floatation have been examined. The experimental results showed that the zinc recovery of desliming+grinding floatation was 42.19%, which is 4.43% higher than grinding+desliming floatation. In the desliming+grinding floatation process, the effects of grinding fineness, dosage of sodium sulfide and octadecylamine, kinds and dosage of dispersants and reaction time of sodium sulfide on the flotation index of the oxidized zinc ore have been examined. The results showed that sodium silicate was better than sodium hexametaphosphate as the slime dispersing agent, and the best reaction time was 180s. The zinc concentrate of 29.35% with a zinc recovery of 66.62% were obtained.
