Abstract:
From 1990 to now, it had been invested 80 billion for gold exploration in the world, and 240 important gold deposits were found, a total of 17.152 billion ounces of gold reserves. From the data of the gold exploration recent years, it can be found that the Latin America was the most discovered gold resources, accounting for 28% of the global total. 41% of the gold resources was found by the primary exploration company during this time. Greenfields discoveries contain 60% of gold resources. Only 35 companies found more than one important deposits. The trend of gold discovered shows the success rate of exploration decrease for these years with exploration dollars declining. With the gold price recovery, a large number of gold exploration projects will be made positive progress in 3 to 5 years.
