Abstract: The main purpose of natural gas is to provide heat energy for medium. The heat energy value of the different regions of natural gas is different, the heat energy value of the different gas supply company of the same user may be different. To play the commodities value of natural gas, energy metering manner should be adopted. This paper discusses on the economic necessity and technical feasibility of the natural gas energy metering. Natural gas energy metering manner can reflect the fairness and transparency during the natural gas trade, can show naturalgas’s economic advantages and disadvantages than the other alternative energy production, and can be favor to international practice. GB Determination Of Natural Gas Energy metering and implementation of some research projects expands the technical feasibility of natural gas energy metering. Advocating natural gas energy metering can be advantage to change the price of natural gas and can be advantage to the implementation of energy saving and emission reduction policy as well as can be advantage to the consolidation and upgrading of the gas industry chain, so the economic and political value of natural gas can be effectively played.
