Abstract: The exploration and development of foreign mineral resources is one of the important components in China's Going Global Strategy.The author first discussed the necessity,major achievements and important opportunities in implementing a globalized mineral resources strategy,and then used a number of statistics and analysis to illustrate the major features of the Going Global Strategy of Mineral Resources,its internal and external restrictions and major challenges.Based on these analysis,the author proposed a series of policy recommendations including,improving government guidance and strengthening enterprises ownership,making geological explorations first and integrating exploration with development,establishing overseas mineral resources investment mechanisms with shared information,focusing more on risk control,enhancing the efficacy and performance of Going Global Strategy,adhering to sustainable development and seeking reciprocal and win-win cooperation with the recipient country.
