南大西洋中脊26°S热液区烟囱体矿物学研究

    Study on chimney mineralogy from the 26°S hydrothermal field in South Mid-Atlantic Ridge

    • 摘要: 南大西洋中脊26°S热液区是我国科学家在南大西洋中脊发现的热液区,这是目前为止在大西洋中脊发现的位置最南的热液区。本文应用成因矿物学方法,对取自热液区的烟囱体碎块进行了研究。结果表明,烟囱体由外向内发育3种类型硫化物:富Fe型、Fe-Cu型以及富Cu型硫化物。富Fe型硫化物的矿物组合为黄铁矿-白铁矿;Fe-Cu型硫化物的矿物组合为黄铁矿-黄铜矿;富Cu型硫化物的矿物组合为黄铜矿-黄铁矿。参照Graham的太平洋海隆烟囱理想生长模式,推测26°S热液区烟囱发育较为成熟。

       

      Abstract: The 26°S hydrothermal field on South Mid-Atlantic Ridge was found by Chinese scientists,it is the southest hydrothermal field discovered on Mid-Atlantic Ridge. This stydy show that,according to the mineral assemblages , sulfides of chimney from this field, can be classified into three distinct types: Fe-rich,Fe-Cu type and Cu-rich type. The Fe-rich type sulfide is dominated by pyrite-marcasite assemblages ; the Fe-Cu type is dominated by pyrite-chalcopyrite assemblages; and the Cu-rich type si by chalcopyrite-pyrite. Accoding the growth history of a model (ideal) chimney of EPR hydrothermal,chimney from 26°S hydrothermal field is relatively mature.
