Abstract: This paper describes the status of the domestic utilization of tailings and summed up the research methods of tailings resources’ characteristics.Research methods of tailing resources’ characteristics contain sampling method,test and analysis methods of elements,phase testing methods,the analytical methods of physical characteristics and process mineralogy analysis methods.And develop tailing management system based on the data of tailing resources’ characteristics.The system can provide basic data for the development and utilization of tailings.
