Abstract: As the difficulty of mine prospecting enlarges gradually, mine prospecting and exploring by synthesis multi-dimensional information and using many kinds of method have become the main means of mine prospecting. The mine exploration information system, with the function of WebGIS, can analyse and make use of the mine prospecting and exploring information already owned by remote fast, efficiently, rationally and comprehensively, thus serves for the new mineral deposits discovery, realizes the optimization grouping of mine exploration method, and scientific management and decision-making, lowers the cost and increases the efficiency. Therefore, the WebGIS is one of the most important functions of mine exploration information system, by designing systematically after analysing the informationdate's characteristic and thesystem's function, under B/S pattern, with ASP.NET as the software developing platform, with SuperMap . NET as function core and the map release platform, developing the mine exploration system, so as to realize the WebGIS function.
