Abstract: Hign pressure airflow caused by caving in of the top of the underground space in the mine is simulated by filling in shock wave pipe with high pressure gas.Ore cushion is simulated by filling in the pipe with gravels.The experiments have been done in the effect of the wave attenuation in which the ore cushion has multifarious thickness and porosity.The laws of the wave attenuation and the method of calculating thickness of the ore cushion have been found out.
