Abstract:
The iron-containing dusts from ironmaking anf steelmaking process is of importance as secondary resource. For the recovery of iron from it, blast furnace dust and converter dust are studied utilzing an experimental routine of mixed magnetizing- roasting followed by magnetic separation. The results show that the optimal experimental parameters obtained for the routine are with a roasting temperature 750℃ with a holding time of 60min, an excited current for magnetic separation of 1.0 A and a grinding fineness of 90% powder below 200 meshs. In this case, the concentrate has an iron grade 60.4% and a recovery of 88.6%.
