Abstract: Metallic mineral resources play an important role in the economy of a country.From limitation of natural conditions and historical reasons,the development level of China's metal mines is backward in comparison with that of advanced countries in the world.The paper describes the status of present development of China's metal mines and the problems they are facing in the 21st century,points out the main ways and methods to solve these problems.
