Abstract: In this paper,the home and abroad present conditions in construction and research of refuge chamber about underground mine have been summarized systematically.The existing problems in the construction of refuge chamber have been analyzed,such as the inadequate construction scale and relative quantity of refuge chamber,the limited radiations cope of refuge chamber,poor accessibility and the invalidity of escape routes.The importance of refuge chamber system has been put forward.In order to improve safety capacity of refuge chamber system,the total size,number and the location distribution of refuge chamber should be reasonably determined.And what's more,the more escape routes leading to refuge chamber should be set up.
