Abstract: Ontario is rich in mineral resources and its production of PGE,nickel,cobalt,gold,copper,zinc and silver are all at the top of the world.Ontario is the hot investment region oflarge-scale transnational mineral enterprises,so it is important to get an insight of the mineral industry in Ontario.The paper introduces the mineral statusquo,exploration investment and mineral production in Ontario.It also illustrates the mining activities and potential of the nine mining districts in Ontario.At last,it briefly summarizes the characteristics of mining industry management in Ontario,and proposes relevant suggestions of mining industry management in China.The paper provides the background for China's "go out" policy in mining sector and has important current significance.
