Abstract: The shaft wall fracture factor(temperature)relevant to the fracture phenomenon is located through the in depth analysis on the shaft wall fracture and cause of fracture.The paper retorts persuasively the dominant theory that surface soil sedimentation is the determinant factor of shaft wall fracture.It provides theoretical basis for both search for measures to prevent the wall fracture and prediction of time of wall fracture as well as the design of shaft wall.
