Abstract:
Study on process mineralogy and beneficiation of a sulfur magnetite ore in Iran.The results show that the ore contain high iron content,and iron minerals type are complex,dominated by magnetite,containing a small amount of Hematite,Limonite,the harmful impurities sulfur content higher.Because of isomorphism of magnesium and iron,the pure magnetite mineral grade is less than 68% Fe,so mechanical beneficiation technology can not be mentioned in more than 68% Fe concentrate.Using a stage grinding and magnetic separation-reverse flotation or magnetic separation process after the two-stage grinding can reach more than 67% of the iron grade,sulfur content is reduced to less than 0.1% of the qualified iron ore concentrate.
