Abstract: Chromium is an important strategic resource in our country.In recent years,the consumption in the world first,but domestic chromium resources are scarce.Therefore,encourage the development and utilization of foreign resources is one of effective methods.This paper analyzes the development status quo of world chromite from the following three aspects:the global output level and major producing countries of chromite;development situation of the world large chromite mines;production capacity of the main chromite producing enterprises.Analysis that:1Zimbabwe's great resources,and low degree of development;2Chromium metal waste is serious in Platinum group metal mines abroad;3Chrome mining company trade activities frequently in world.Based on the above analysis,the paper puts forward some investment advices for Chinese enterprises:1 Zimbabwe is an optimizing region for chromite investment;2A high value should be put on the comprehensive utilization of chromite in platinoid deposits by cooperating with the platinum producing enterprises;3 Make investment planning and preparation in the mergers,acquisitions frequent chromium world market;4 To absorb investment experience from domestic and foreign enterprises.
