Abstract: Based on the demands of the technology on acid leaching of diatomite ore and the microwave characteristics, a new technology for purification of diatomite by microwave including purification of diatomite by microwave pre-treating and by microwave acid leaching was proposed. The results of the experiments indicated that microwave could promote and strengthen acid leaching purification of diatomite ore.
