Abstract: With the reform and opening up, China’s comprehensive national strength has been increasingly strong.As the largest iron ore importer in the world, China plays a more and more important role in the international economic society.However, our country lacks of the corresponding pricing power in the international iron ore market, which makes China can just accept the price reluctantly.The authors analyze the reasons of lacking of imported iron ore pricing power on the basis of summarizing the international iron ore market pricing mechanism and imported iron ore prices trend.The authors put forward reasonable countermeasures.The first one is to establish a resource strategic reserve system; the second one is to implement the “Going Out” Strategy, adjusting the structure of using foreign resources; the third one is to promote the price index, spot trading platform’ development; the last one is to strengthen the construction of resource transport corridors.
