Abstract: By means of the research about the geological characteristics and ore-controlling rules of Xiazhuang gold mine,Laixi City,Shandong Province,to guiding the regional mineral exploration and development.Based on the analysis of the geological background of Xiazhuang gold mine,the results show that the Xiazhuang gold mine belongs to the altered rock type gold deposit,orebody was mainly occur in the footwall of Zhaoping fault granitic cataclastic rock zone.With the aid of the ground and deep drilling engineering,we carry out the in-depth study about the geological characteristics of ore deposit,such as ore body,ore,wall rock alteration et al.It framed the eight gold ore bodies,received gold ore quantity is 687692t,gold metal quantity is 2260kg,the average grade of 3.29×10^-6.The conclusion points out that the southern zone of Zhaoping fault belt has great prospecting potential,and the structural transition parts are favorable prospecting positions.It has the important implications to the gold deposit exploration.
