Abstract: Mineral resources are the important assurance to the sustainable development of the economy.In the face of the severe wasting phenomenon of mineral resources,it is very essential to develop the planning of mineral resources timely.MAPGIS is a space information system which integrate the Digital Mapping and database management,through layer function of the MAPGIS we can easily draw out the planning picture which we need,with the database management function,space analysis and index function.MAPGIS can offer powerful technology supporting for the effective management of mineral resources in the future.
