Abstract:
Wazishan tungsten-molybdenum orebody is one of the newly discovered multi-metal deposits in south Anhui Province. Two mineralization zones and some independent orebodies were identified in the study area. The tungsten-molybdenum orebodies mainly occur and approximately parallel with the inner contact zone of granodiorite. The major types of mineralization include broad tungsten-molybdenum-bearing quartz veins type, thin tungsten-bearing quartz veins type and porphyry type. Based on the geological characteristics and the ore-forming condition of the orebodies, it is suggested that there is an important ore-prospecting potential at Wazishan area.
