Abstract:
With sericite ore produced in hubei province as the object, the separation of sericite from quartz can be realized using a technique flowsheet that raw ore crushing stirring dispersion-classification. The influence of some conditions such as liberation, dispersion and classification on processing sericite through single gravity concentration method was reviewed, the grade of the concentrate obtained by the open-circuit flowsheet using hydrocyclone as classification equipment is K
2O 9.28%, and the recovery of K
2O is 61.23%. So the enrichment of sericite has been realized. XRD analyse, chemical element analyse and SEM observing to the concentrate and tailings obtained by processing sericite were carried out. The results show that a effective separation between sericite and quartz has been realized by single gravity concentration method.
