Abstract: South American region is rich in mineral resources.Increasing mining investment in South America is an important measure to alleviate our resources contradictions.After years of development,mining in South American is becoming more and more important in promoting economic and social development.This article discusses the status of mining in South America and mineral resources in South America,points out that the quality mines in South America has been carved up by mining companies from both South America and developed countries.We also make some South American mining investment recommendations according to the situation of mining investment of China's mining companies in South America.
