Abstract:
Haulage cost occupies about 50% of the total production cost in large-scale open-pit mines. Traditional hauling methods, such as truch, railway and their combination, are not suitable for deep open-pit mines. Semi-continuous hauling method of truck-belt conveyor is the best hauling method for most deep open-pit mines. Based on the practical conditions of Shuichang open-pit mine which belongs to the Capital Iron and Steel Group Company, a series of techniques critical to the semi-continuous hauling system are studied, including optimum fromation of a complete set of the semi-continuous hauling system, optimizing route of the truck-belt-conveyor, optimization of method and its operation of discharging waste stone, reliability analysis of the system, techniques of automatic control and high-efficient operation of the system, etc. The economical benefit of 3 sets of truck-belt conveyor system built in Shiuchang open-pit mine is anlayzed.
