Abstract:
The geological heritage protection is the category of natural resource management in the new era; it is also an important part of the beautiful China construction and spatial planning system. After the long-term geological evolution and human activities, Shenzhen city has formed some outstanding types of geological heritages, most of which are characterized by geomorphological landscapes(including the granite geomorphology, volcanic rock geomorphology and coastal geomorphology etc.) and mining heritages, and other types such as paleontological fossils. For the geological heritages of Shenzhen city, firstly, the authors briefly describe its spatial distribution characteristics; secondly, the authors summarize protection achievements and progress from five aspects:regional survey evaluation, protection planning, geological park and mine park construction, paleontological fossil samples survey and statistics, and popular science education. Finally, based on the top-level design and typical examples, five key protection points are analyzed and discussed, and relevant suggestions are put forward to providing work ideas and decision support for the efficient management and precise policy about important geological heritages in Shenzhen city.
