Abstract: It is important to study the practice of digital innovation mode in oil and gas industry for promoting the digitalization process of domestic oil companies.This paper analyzes the reasons for digital innovation in oil and gas industry, and summarizes the digital innovation models of major international petroleum companies and oil service companies:through independent research and development to speed up the layout of the digital frontier technology; strengthen technical cooperation and develop digital technology with technology companies jointly; through technology mergers and acquisitions to enhance digital technology capabilities; conduct venture capital to tap the market potential of digital technology.Then four aspects of enlightenments are obtained:digital service has become a new direction for the development of oil and gas industry; business and technology foundations determine the digital layout and strategy of petroleum companies; digital platform is becoming important for the digital transformation of the oil and gas industry; digital security risks should not be ignored.Finally, this paper puts forward targeted countermeasures and suggestions.
